Community spirited volunteers from Friends of Meath Gardens took advantage of a sunny December morning to help plant hundreds of flower bulbs in Meath Park.
There was a great turnout, with local volunteers giving their time to help improve Meath Gardens for local residents and visitors.
Meath Gardens is a much valued green space, providing respite and enjoyment to residents from the hective pace of daily life and the business of the surrounding area.
Conservative PPC Matt Smith said: "I would like to congratulate the organisers of Friends of Meath Gardens for taking the lead on making improvements to this vital green space".
"It was greatly enjoyable to join local volunteers helping to dig and plant bulbs and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed gardening as pleasant distraction from from the pace of daily life".
